Polypro is hard and light material. A must for many advanced hoopers, especially when hooping off-body and doing stylized moves and isolation moves. The hoop responds quickly to every twist and so gives you great opportunities. With taping you can make the tube nice and grippy, and also a wee bit heavier. A polypro hoop with (grip) taping is slightly better controllable when you’re on-body hooping.

If you really wanna go light and small pick the skinny 16 tubing. This gives the liquid & flowy effect when used in isolations. For some it is just tha nioce feel of a thin tubing in your hand. For some it is the skinny look while hooping. Don’t go bigger than 85 cm diameter as this tubing is way more flexible than 20 mm tubing.

The HDPE 20 mm tubing makes a real allround hoop when it is not too big. Say 90-95 cm. diameter. This hoop is still suitable for on-body hooping but you can also practice off-body hooping without fear of muscle acidification. It is a bit lighter than the beginner hoops and will sooner give you the feeling of dancing in and with your hoop.

The HDPE 25 mm hoop is a basic beginners hoop when build in a 95-110 cm diameter. It is a nice hoop when you start hooping and a must-have when you frequently practice the basics of waist hooping. Because it’s a bit heavier it gives you good body contact while on-body hooping, so you feel faster how to direct the hoop and adjust your movement. A bigger diameter (more than 95 cm) will also make sure the hoop is turning at a more quiet pace, which gives you time to master the technique.

This variety is foldable because it has two turning connectors. It turns quick and easy into an 8-shape that can be folded to half the diameter. It’s by far the easiest and fastest way of folding your hula. Perfect for the festival hooper. Just bring a small string to hold the folded hula together. De Hoepel Winkel loves metallics and bling bling. This Infinity system does not like this tape. The tape will wrinkle and in the end damage. This is why a lot of our hoops do have a push button connection. In the tubing variations of each product you see if the hoop has the option for Infinity System. Because it’s a bit of a heavier hoop (only used in HDPE 20 & 25 mm tubing) it gives you good body contact while on-body hooping, so you feel faster how to direct the hoop and adjust your movement.

As a beginner you want a hulahoop that helps you getting into waist-hooping at the first place. Therefore we advice you a hoop that is quite big. Think diameter 95 or 100 cm. Thicker tubing such as 25 mm HDPE you actually feel while trying. As every push is quite strong due to the weight of the hoop.
